Nollywood actress and social media influencer Nimmy Ferrari, identified as Adesanya Nimota Omotolani, has reportedly died, days before she was expected to celebrate the completion of her newly built house in Sagamu, Ogun State.
The actress’ death was announced by her colleague, Oluwakemisola Apesin, popularly known as Kemity, who shared an emotional tribute on social media.
“Everybody is back home; we left only you, IDERA Nimmyferrari. It is well,” Kemity wrote.
Reports from multiple Nigerian media outlets indicate that Nimmy had recently completed construction of her home and was making preparations for a housewarming ceremony.
However, the celebration reportedly turned into a mourning occasion following her sudden death. Videos circulating online showed mourners gathered at the property, where preparations were reportedly made for her burial.
The exact cause of Nimmy Ferrari’s death has not been officially confirmed by her family.
However, several reports citing information circulating on social media claim that the actress underwent an operation for fibroids and subsequently developed complications.
TheCable Lifestyle, QED and other reports have also stressed that the alleged link between the surgery and her death remains unverified.
Nimmy, who built a following through her activities as an actress, content creator and social media influencer, was reportedly still growing her career in the Yoruba sector of Nollywood.
Her death has triggered an outpouring of grief among colleagues, friends and fans, particularly because it occurred shortly before she was expected to celebrate a major personal achievement the completion of her home in Sagamu.
The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, pending an official statement from her family or other authorised sources.
