A Ugandan woman says she has been left to raise her two children alone after her American husband, an alleged US soldier, returned to the United States and stopped supporting the family.
Juliet Mbabazi says she and Travis Preston were married for two years and have two children, aged three and seven.
According to Ms Mbabazi, her husband left Uganda after returning to the US and subsequently stopped providing financial support for the family.
She is now seeking help from Ugandans living abroad, including people with links to the US military, to establish his whereabouts and find a way to secure support for the children.
Ms Mbabazi has also been advised to seek legal assistance and contact the US Embassy for guidance on possible child-support arrangements.
She is also seeking clarification on whether her children may be eligible for US citizenship through their father.
There has been no independent confirmation of the allegations, and Mr Preston has not publicly responded to the claims.
