The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments across parts of Lagos State over alleged persistent violations of environmental regulations.
The enforcement exercise was carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
LASEPA said the affected establishments had been issued repeated warnings and abatement notices, with opportunities provided to address the identified environmental breaches, but allegedly failed to comply with the agency’s directives.
The agency said the exercise was part of the Lagos State Government’s efforts to enforce environmental laws, protect public health and promote a cleaner and safer environment for residents.
Among those sealed was Nico Hotel & Suites, located at Ayawo Close, NEPA Bus Stop, Egbe-Isolo Road, Ejigbo.
Celestial Church of Christ (Aduragbemi Parish), located on Adetola Buhari Street, Okerube Bus Stop, Ikotun, was also sealed over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance with LASEPA’s directives.
Other establishments affected included Thrillz Lounge, Odusanmi Street, Ogba, sealed over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance; Feixiang Plastic, LASU-Ojo Road, Oko Filling Bus Stop, for non-compliance; and Marvel Hotel & Suites, Chrisbee Crescent, BRT Bus Stop, Igando, over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance.
Also sealed were Keviz Hotel & Suites, Councilor Ajayi Street, Obadore Bus Stop, LASU-Iba Road, over alleged obstruction of duty and non-compliance; DSN Hotel & Suites, Benson Onyeacholen Street, O’Mark Bus Stop, LASU-Igando Road, for non-compliance; and Rudaj Vegetable Oil, Tanimowo Street, Ologufe Bus Stop, Igando Road, for non-compliance.
Limas, located on Aro-Oloye Street, off Abaranje Road, Abaranje, Ikotun, was also sealed for alleged non-compliance with the agency’s directives.
LASEPA maintained that businesses and other establishments operating within Lagos are required to comply with prescribed environmental standards and implement corrective measures issued by the agency.
The agency warned that establishments that persistently violate environmental regulations may face further enforcement action in accordance with applicable Lagos State laws.
