President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending about four weeks in Europe.
Tinubu arrived in Lagos from Paris aboard Nigerian Air Force One at about 6:22pm on Tuesday, with the presidential aircraft taxiing into the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
Journalists at the airport were reportedly restricted from taking photographs or recording videos of the President’s arrival, as media access was limited while the aircraft moved to the terminal.
The President had departed Nigeria on August 30 for London before travelling to Paris, France, where he held a series of engagements, including a meeting and dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron.
His return marks the end of his extended stay outside the country.
Tinubu is expected to resume official duties and participate in activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1.
