APC Campaign Council Accuses ADC of Owing Staff Salaries, Urges Nigerians to Reject Party |LAGOS EYE NEWS

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has accused the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of failing to pay its staff for more than a year, urging Nigerians to reject the party and its candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The council made the allegations in a statement issued on Monday, and signed by its spokesperson, Dele Alake.

It accused the ADC National Working Committee, led by Senator David Mark as chairman and Rauf Aregbesola as secretary, of neglecting the welfare of party workers despite what it described as the party’s promises to Nigerians.

The APC campaign council described the alleged non-payment of salaries as unacceptable, arguing that a political party seeking to govern the country should demonstrate its ability to manage its internal affairs and meet its obligations to workers.

It also criticised former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, whom the statement identified as the ADC’s presidential candidate, alleging that his businesses had previously faced complaints over unpaid staff salaries and benefits.

The council further criticised Aregbesola’s record as governor of Osun State, accusing his administration of failing to pay workers and pensioners their full entitlements.

According to the statement, the administration introduced quarter-salary and, at times, half-salary payments, while pensioners allegedly went for more than four years without receiving their pensions.

The APC campaign council argued that the allegations raised questions about the ADC leadership’s ability to manage the country’s affairs if elected into office.

It urged Nigerian voters, particularly workers, to reject the ADC, Atiku Abubakar and all candidates contesting under the party in the forthcoming general elections.

The statement accused the party’s leadership of prioritising personal political ambitions over the welfare of Nigerians.

The allegations were contained in the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s statement dated October 26, 2026. The statement did not include a response from the ADC leadership to the claims.
