The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has confirmed that the political crisis in Rivers State has been resolved.
Speaking in an interview after inspecting ongoing road projects in Abuja’s city centre, Mr Wike said the disagreement between himself and the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, had been amicably settled.
He said the resolution was facilitated by President Bola Tinubu, whose intervention he credited with restoring calm and unity in the state.
Mr Wike said ending the prolonged dispute would have a positive impact on the people of Rivers State, noting that stability was essential for governance and development.
He also praised President Tinubu’s role in mediating the conflict, saying the move demonstrated the president’s commitment to addressing internal political tensions and promoting unity.
The minister granted the interview after inspecting several ongoing infrastructure projects in the Federal Capital Territory, where he reiterated the administration’s focus on development and effective governance.
