NAPTIP orders Investigation into Lagos Daycare Molestation Claims |LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Director General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Binta Adamu Bello, has ordered a full-scale investigation into allegations of child molestation and abuse at a daycare centre in Lagos.

The directive follows a suggestive online post by a popular Nigerian singer which raised concerns about the safety and welfare of children at the facility.

In a statement, the agency said the investigation would be handled by its operatives to ascertain the facts surrounding the allegations and ensure that justice is served where necessary.

While commending Nigerians for their genuine concern and vigilance on issues affecting children, NAPTIP assured the public that all its communication platforms remain active and accessible to receive complaints from anyone who may have been abused or violated at the said daycare centre.

The agency urged victims, parents, guardians, and members of the public with credible information to report through its official channels, including its Lagos Zonal Command office.

NAPTIP reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of children and prosecuting offenders in accordance with the law.
