German carrier Lufthansa on Saturday suspended flights to the Middle East in response to the joint US-Israeli attack on Iran.
Flights to Tel Aviv in Israel, Beirut in Lebanon, Amman in Jordan, Erbil in Iraq and the Iranian capital Tehran will not operate again until at least March 8, according to a spokesman.
As for flights to and from Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, they will not operate this weekend, he said.
Lufthansa is just one of several airlines to halt Middle East flights as military actions intensifies across the Middle East.
Lufthansa regretted the inconvenience, but the safety of passengers and crews remains the Group’s top priority, he said.
