Lagos Assembly Confirms Adebisi Adelabu as GM of LASPARK |LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu as the General Manager of the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPARK).

The confirmation was announced on Monday by the Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, who presided over the plenary. Citing Section 92 of the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law, 2018, Obasa declared that the House had formally ratified Adelabu’s appointment in line with constitutional provisions.

Mrs. Adelabu’s nomination, which was stepped down in January 2026 for further legislative scrutiny, received overwhelming support from lawmakers following a rigorous screening exercise.

Members expressed satisfaction with her professional qualifications, competence, and strategic plans to reposition the Authority for greater efficiency and improved service delivery across the state.

Her confirmation was sealed through a voice vote.

In a related development, the House unanimously adopted the report of its Committee on Rules and Business on a petition titled, “Notification of Decision to Carve Out Land for Regularizations from Lagos State University of Science and Technology Property Situated in Ikorodu.”

Presenting the report, the Majority Leader and Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Noheem Adams, outlined key findings and recommendations for consideration by the lawmakers.

A major recommendation directs the State Government to allocate 50 hectares of land in a suitable and accessible part of Ikorodu to the descendants of Segun Eyingbala as compensation.

The decision followed the recognition of the family as the original customary owners of the land within the premises of LASUSTECH, formerly known as Lagos State Polytechnic, which had earlier been acquired by the government in overriding public interest.

Lawmakers commended the committee for its diligence and thorough work before adopting the recommendations as the official resolution of the House.

Following the proceedings, the Speaker directed the Clerk of the House, Barr. Olalekan Onafeko, to communicate the resolutions to the appropriate authorities for necessary action.
