Two Ghanaian soldiers crìtically injured after mìssile àttack on UN Peacekeeping base in Lebanon|LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Ghana Armed Forces has confirmed that its battalion position in southern Lebanon came under mìssile àttack amid the ongoing clàshes between the Israel Defense Forces and Hezbollah.

According to the military, the Ghanaian battalion headquarters serving under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon was strùck by two mìssiles within minutes.

“Two soldiers are critìcally injùred, while another has been traùmatised,” the statement said.

The attàck also destr0yed the Officers’ Mess at the base.

The injured personnel are currently receiving treatment and are said to be stable, with plans underway to evacuate them to the UNIFIL referral hospital.

The Ghana Armed Forces assured the public that other troops remain safe in underground bunkers.
