Students, Teachers Escape as Four-Storey School Building Collapses in Lagos |LAGOS EYE NEWS

Students and teachers narrowly escaped death on Monday after a four-storey school building collapsed in the Ogba area of Lagos.

The structure, which housed Yemco Nursery and Primary School and Yemco Comprehensive College, reportedly collapsed around noon—less than three minutes after students and staff were evacuated from the building.

According to reports, the incident occurred at No. 11 Adudatu Street, behind County Hospital, in the Aguda area of Ogba.

Witnesses said school authorities had quickly moved students and staff out of the building moments before the structure caved in, preventing what could have been a major tragedy.

Emergency responders were said to have been alerted, while authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the collapse.
