A fire outbreak at the Federal Secretariat Complex Phase II in Abuja on Monday morning has been successfully contained by emergency responders, with authorities confirming that no casualties were recorded.
The incident, which caused concern among staff and visitors within the complex, occurred on the fourth floor of Block C, which houses the National Board for Technology Incubation, an agency under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology.
Officials of the Federal Fire Service and the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service responded swiftly to the emergency, working to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.
Other emergency response teams, including personnel from the National Emergency Management Agency, the Federal Road Safety Corps, and the Nigerian Red Cross Society, were also deployed to the scene. They supported rescue operations, ensured safety around the premises, and helped coordinate the response.
Authorities said investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire, while assessments are ongoing to establish the extent of damage to property within the affected office.
