Gospel artiste and renowned Nollywood soundtrack vocalist, Onos Nancy Brisibi, is dead. She was 55.
Brisibi, known for her powerful and soulful voice, featured prominently in classic Nollywood films such as Domitilla and Blood Money.
Her family confirmed her passing in a statement issued on Thursday, March 26. According to the statement, she died on March 23, 2026, after a prolonged illness.
In the statement, the family described the late singer as a devoted Christian who touched many lives through her music ministry.
“The Brisibi family announces with deep sorrow the passing of esteemed sister Onos Nancy Brisibi, who transitioned to glory on March 23, 2026, after a protracted illness,” the statement read.
It further described her as “a gifted songstress and a passionate praise and worship leader whose angelic voice impacted countless lives as she spread the gospel through music.”
The family also paid tribute to her personality, remembering her as “a beautiful, fun-loving woman with a heart of gold,” whose faith, warmth, and kindness left lasting impressions on all who knew her.
Brisibi is survived by her daughter, Sarah Brisibi; her mother; siblings; extended family members; friends; and her church family at LoveWorld Ministries.
