The Chairman of the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA), Hon. Busoye Soladoye Ogunlade, has resigned from his position to pursue his ambition of representing Oyo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
In a resignation letter addressed to the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, through the Secretary to the State Government, Ogunlade expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve under the administration.
He described his tenure as a significant milestone in his public service career, noting that the governor’s leadership, support, and confidence in his abilities strengthened his commitment to serving the people.
“Serving under your visionary leadership has been one of the greatest honours of my public service journey,” Ogunlade stated, adding that Makinde’s belief in his capacity inspired him to aim for higher responsibilities.
The former OYSROMA chairman explained that his decision to step down was influenced by growing calls from his constituents, which he said had become “too compelling to ignore.” He emphasized that his aspiration aligns with the administration’s focus on progress, stability, and good governance.
Ogunlade reaffirmed his loyalty to Governor Makinde and pledged support for whoever emerges as the consensus candidate for both the federal constituency and the governorship position under the party.
“I remain fully committed to the success of this administration and our great party. My loyalty to Your Excellency and to the collective decisions of our leaders is unwavering,” he said.
He also commended Makinde’s leadership style, describing it as humble, inclusive, and development-oriented, adding that it continues to inspire emerging politicians in the state.
Ogunlade further appreciated the management and staff of OYSROMA for their cooperation, attributing the agency’s achievements during his tenure to teamwork and dedication to improving road infrastructure across Oyo State.
His resignation signals the end of his leadership at the agency and the beginning of a new phase in his political career, which he described as a continued commitment to public service driven by sincerity, competence, and shared prosperity.
