The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the official timetable for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course.
According to the scheme’s management, the 21-day exercise will take place simultaneously across all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The orientation programme is scheduled to commence with the reception and registration of Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Registration activities will continue until midnight on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II corps members will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, marking the formal commencement of the service year.
The orientation course is expected to conclude on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
NYSC management also wished all mobilized Nigerian graduates safe journeys to their respective orientation camps nationwide. It reiterated its longstanding warning against night travel, citing safety concerns.
Prospective Corps Members were advised to break their journeys by 6:00 p.m. if they are yet to reach their destinations. They are encouraged to spend the night at designated safe locations such as Corps Members’ lodges, military formations, police stations or outposts, and traditional rulers’ palaces before continuing their trips the following morning.
