Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, has been adopted as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal House of Representatives seat.
Adeleye, who currently serves as the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ogun State, confirmed her acceptance of the decision reached by the party’s Apex Leadership in Ifo Local Government Area.
She described the process as a reflection of internal democracy, noting that dialogue, consultation, and collective interest guided the outcome.
She expressed appreciation to the Apex body Chairman, Chief Joju Fadairo, alongside party leaders and stakeholders, for what she termed their commitment to fairness, inclusiveness, and unity within the party.
The commissioner also commended her co-aspirants Asiwaju Lateef Adesina, Bashorun Olaniran Olalekan (popularly known as BOOM), and Dr. Ademola Evans (DEDEMBULA) for their conduct during the selection process.
According to her, their agreement to adopt a consensus candidate highlights a shared commitment to party cohesion and democratic values.

Adeleye emphasised that her emergence represents a collective vision rather than individual ambition, pledging to uphold inclusive representation, accountability, and people-oriented leadership if elected.
“This moment is not about an individual, but about a shared vision to strengthen our party and deepen democratic values within our constituency.
She further called for continued support from party members and constituents, expressing optimism about securing victory for the APC and delivering meaningful development to the Constituency.
“I reaffirm my commitment to inclusive representation, accountability, and people-centered leadership. I see this as a mandate to listen, to serve, and to carry everyone along. Together, with the continued support and active participation of our people, we will consolidate on this unity and work towards a resounding victory for our party and meaningful development for Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, she concluded.
