The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Tuesday ordained a total of 17,807 ministers, comprising 5,977 Assistant Pastors and 11,830 Deacons and Deaconesses, during the second day of its 74th Annual Convention.
The ordination service featured prayers and anointing for the newly ordained ministers as they were officially committed to God’s service.
During the ceremony, Pastor Sunday Akande formally presented the newly ordained Assistant Pastors, Deacons, and Deaconesses to the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, for prayers and anointing.
Pastor Adeboye offered the final prayer for the newly ordained ministers, asking God to grant them a fresh anointing, divine guidance, wisdom, strength, and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit as they begin their new responsibilities in His service.
LAGOS EYE NEWS reports that the ordination ceremony was one of the major highlights of the second day of the church’s 74th Annual Convention, with thousands of ministers commissioned to serve in various capacities across the RCCG worldwide.
