Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed his condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and fans of veteran Nollywood actor, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, following his reported death.
Sanwo-Olu described the actor’s passing as a painful loss to Nigeria’s creative industry, noting that Ogogo made significant contributions to the entertainment sector through his acting career.
In a condolence message, the governor said Ogogo was a gifted actor who used his talent to entertain audiences while telling stories that reflected Nigerian society.
He added that the veteran actor earned the love and respect of Nigerians through his remarkable career and the impact he made in the industry.
Sanwo-Olu prayed that Almighty God would grant Ogogo eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus and give his family, friends and colleagues the strength to bear the loss.
He also prayed that the actor’s memory would continue to live on through the many lives he touched during his lifetime.
