British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known as Denisi or Ego, has died following complications from a penis enlargement procedure during a luxury trip to Thailand with his wife.

Ubiribo, 43, reportedly underwent the cosmetic procedure at a clinic in Bangkok in March, where 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected into his penis, according to evidence presented at an inquest at Inner West London Coroners’ Court.

Following the procedure, Ubiribo and his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, reportedly went for a massage. During the session, he complained of chest pain and collapsed twice.

He was subsequently taken to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism, a potentially fatal condition in which a blood clot blocks an artery in the lungs.

Medical staff reportedly performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for more than 100 minutes, but Ubiribo died in the early hours of March 6.

A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom reportedly found cellular material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used during the procedure.

Following the inquest, Coroner Jean Harkin ruled that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by complications from the cosmetic procedure.

Ubiribo, who had about 185,000 followers on Instagram, was known for showcasing a lavish lifestyle on social media.

His funeral was held in London, where he was reportedly buried in a gold coffin said to be worth about $745,000. Nigerian celebrities, including music star Davido and socialite Cubana Chief Priest, were among those who attended the funeral.
