The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has donated $265,854 to support the evacuation and repatriation of distressed Nigerians from South Africa.
The donation, made on the directive of RCCG General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, is aimed at providing immediate relief and facilitating the safe return of vulnerable Nigerians affected by recent xenophobic tensions.
The church said the intervention reflects its commitment to compassion, justice and social responsibility, as well as its support for Nigerians in the diaspora.
According to the RCCG, the funds will be used to assist Nigerians seeking to return home safely, while the Church continues to pray for peace in South Africa.
The church also commended the Federal Government for its ongoing evacuation efforts.
It added that logistics and the handling of the intervention are being coordinated by the Central Missions Board, RCCG Region 65 and Youth Province 1, Lagos.
The RCCG reaffirmed its commitment to supporting its members globally and promoting the dignity and welfare of all people.
