Nigerian singer Davido has responded publicly after a teenage girl, Anu Adeleke, called on him to undergo a DNA test to determine her paternity.
The award-winning artist made the comments on X (formerly Twitter) while reacting to a post discussing the emotional impact of paternity disputes on fathers.
Davido said that several DNA tests had already been conducted in the past, all of which he claimed showed he is not the girl’s father.
He stated that the tests were carried out at multiple hospitals chosen by both parties.
In a series of posts, the singer said he would no longer engage on the matter, insisting the results were conclusive and asking the girl and her mother to stop contacting him.
He also denied having any prior relationship with the teenager’s mother, apart from attending the DNA testing process.
The comments followed an appeal by Anu Adeleke, who said she has faced bullying and emotional distress over long-standing claims that Davido is her biological father — a claim she said her mother has maintained for years.
On Wednesday, 15 January, Anu shared a post on Instagram directly tagging the singer and asking him to submit to a DNA test to formally establish paternity.
