The prestigious recognition celebrates their decades-long impact on Nollywood and their remarkable bodies of work that have shaped African cinema and inspired generations of actors and filmmakers.Kanayo O. Kanayo was celebrated for his unforgettable performances in acclaimed productions including Living in Bondage, Lionheart, October 1, and Across the Niger, as well as his popular role in the sitcom Professor Johnbull. Widely respected for his versatility and consistency, the actor has remained one of Nollywood’s most influential figures.
Sola Sobowale was equally recognised for her exceptional performances in blockbuster films such as The Wedding Party, King of Boys, Battle on Buka Street, and Aníkúlápó.
Renowned for her commanding screen presence and outstanding talent, Sobowale has continued to cement her legacy as one of Nollywood’s most iconic actresses.
