Trafficker Bags 7 Years Imprisonment, N4 Million Fine |LAGOS EYE NEWS



The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced one Bose Jimoh to 7 years imprisonment and a fine of N4 million for organizing foreign travels that promote prostitution and the intentional exportation of victims for exploitation, contrary to Sections 14(b) and 18 of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act (TIPPEA) 2015.

A four-count charge was filed against the defendant, Bose Jimoh, on 15th October, 2025. Having been found guilty on all counts, the defendant was convicted and sentenced as follows:

*Five (5) years imprisonment and a fine of N1 million on Count 1 for exportation of persons knowing that such persons would be subjected to exploitation;
* Five (5) years imprisonment and a fine of N1 million on Count 2 for exportation of persons knowing that such persons would be subjected to exploitation;
* Seven (7) years imprisonment and a fine of N1 million on Count 3 for organizing foreign travel that promotes prostitution; and
* Seven (7) years imprisonment and a fine of N1 million on Count 4 for organizing foreign travel that promotes prostitution under the TIPPEA Act 2015.

The terms of imprisonment are to run concurrently, with effect from 7th May, 2026.
