The family of Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has released an emotional statement announcing his reported passing after a battle with kidney cancer.
In a statement signed on behalf of the family, they expressed “profound sadness” over the death of the actor, describing him as a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend.
According to the statement, Alexx Ekubo reportedly died at Evercare Hospital following complications arising from advanced metastatic kidney cancer after what the family described as a “brief but courageous battle.”
The family noted that throughout his illness, the actor remained strong, faithful, and hopeful despite the challenges he faced.
“Throughout this difficult journey, he bore his pain with remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and enduring hope, believing that one day his testimony would be shared with the world,” the statement read.
They further appealed to the public for privacy and prayers as the family mourns the painful loss.
