Governor Adeleke Campaign DG Allegedly Dumps Accord Party, Obtains PDP Senatorial Form |LAGOS EYE NEWS

Akogun Lere Oyewunmi, Deputy Minority Leader, has obtained the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination form and is set to undergo screening on Wednesday.

Oyewunmi is reported to have dumped the Accord Party ticket following uncertainty surrounding ongoing court judgments affecting the party. Sources indicate that he may have quietly resigned from the Accord Party, with several other members expected to follow suit.

Meanwhile, some current members of the State House of Assembly are already undergoing screening under the PDP.

Tension is said to be rising within both the PDP and Accord Party, especially after the parties allegedly failed to publicly congratulate the state governor on his birthday in any print media.

There is also growing disquiet within the Accord Party, as many aspirants are yet to obtain nomination forms despite the primaries being less than two weeks away.

Party faithfuls have reportedly asked Oyewunmi to step aside as Director-General of the Campaign Council, citing concerns over alleged dual party membership.
