Two Women Arrested for Alleged Rape of Man in Tembisa |LAGOS EYE NEWS

Two 26-year-old women from Winnie Mandela Zone 4 in Tembisa have been arrested for allegedly raping a 32-year-old man after meeting him at a local tavern.

According to South Africa Police reports, the incident allegedly occurred after the three had spent time drinking together at the tavern. The women reportedly invited the man to their rented backyard room, where the alleged assault took place.

The victim told police he was overpowered and pushed onto a bed before being sexually assaulted.

He allegedly managed to escape during a struggle and sought help from the landlord, who assisted him before the matter was reported to authorities.

Tembisa police have commended the man for coming forward, noting that many male victims of sexual violence often remain silent due to stigma and fear of not being believed.

The two suspects are expected to appear before the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday on a charge of rape.
