The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not updated the results of the Osun State governorship election on its Result Viewing Portal (IReV) for more than two hours, raising concerns among residents and election observers.
The percentage of polling-unit results uploaded to the portal has remained at 87.48 per cent, with results from 3,292 of the 3,763 polling units transmitted as of the time of filing this report at about 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The last update recorded on the IReV portal was at 8:48 p.m., with no further results uploaded more than two hours later.
The delay has sparked questions among residents and other stakeholders on social media who are seeking clarification on the situation.

DiamondX: I really don’t blame Inec and the APC. Nigerians aren’t serious people that’s why the APC in collaboration with Inec continually rig elections in Nigeria. If we’ve used a few as example, this nonsense would have stopped. Alas, we’re too comfortable complaining on social media.

Adeboye Oluwakayode: With things from your situation room, your party agent from the yet to upload result polling unit by INEC should have send the results to the WhatsApp number provided. At least to know your faith in that polling units.
As of the time of filing this report, INEC had yet to issue a public statement in Osun State explaining the delay or providing information on when the remaining results would be uploaded.
The development comes as collation of results from the governorship election continues across the state.
Residents and election observers are now awaiting an official explanation from the electoral commission on the status of the IReV platform and the outstanding polling-unit results.
