Kwara: Soldiers Die Repelling Terrorists in Kaiama Attack |LAGOS EYE NEWS

Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq on Monday confirmed the death of three soldiers following a coordinated terrorist assault in Kemanji community, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, in the early hours of the day.

The attack, which occurred around 3:00 a.m., was swiftly repelled by troops who engaged the armed assailants before they could infiltrate the residential community.

The governor’s office disclosed that the soldiers’ swift action prevented the terrorists from accessing the area and forestalled what security sources described as a planned kidnapping operation targeting residents.

In a statement acknowledging the sacrifice, Governor AbdulRazaq commended the fallen soldiers for their exceptional courage and dedication to duty, noting that their heroic stand saved countless lives.

“These brave soldiers paid the ultimate price in service to our nation,” the governor said, extending his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.

The state government pledged to support the families of the fallen soldiers and reaffirmed its commitment to combating insecurity across Kwara State.

Governor AbdulRazaq vowed that the sacrifices would not be forgotten as security operations intensify to eliminate the terrorist threat in the region.
