King Charles to Address U.S. Congress in Historic Visit |LAGOS EYE NEWS

King Charles III and Queen Camilla have arrived in the United States for their first official state visit since ascending the throne, marking America’s 250th anniversary of independence.

The royal couple began their trip in Washington, D.C., where they met with Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, attended a ceremonial military review, and are set to participate in a state dinner.

King Charles is also scheduled to address the U.S. Congress, emphasising shared democratic values and long-standing ties between both nations.

The visit will extend to New York and Virginia, where the royals will attend memorial events, community engagements, and cultural activities.

However, there are no plans for the king to meet his son, Prince Harry, during the trip.
