A political group, Ajosepo fún Itesiwaju Oke-Ogun, has announced the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, signaling his entry into the race for the party’s governorship ticket in Oyo State.
In a statement issued on Friday, the group described the move as a significant milestone in Gbadegesin’s aspiration to emerge as the APC candidate in the forthcoming primaries.
According to the group, the acquisition of the forms reflects the backing of leaders, stakeholders, professionals, youth groups, and grassroots structures across the Oke-Ogun axis and other parts of the state who believe in Gbadegesin’s competence and leadership capacity.
The group noted that Gbadegesin’s candidacy is rooted in a vision to deliver inclusive governance, improve security, and drive economic prosperity across all zones of the state, particularly advocating stronger recognition for the Oke-Ogun region in development planning.
It added that the move underscores its commitment to presenting a candidate with a track record in public service and technocratic expertise, capable of uniting diverse interests within the state.
Ajosepo fún Itesiwaju Oke-Ogun also called on APC members and supporters to remain united and uphold internal democracy as the party prepares for its governorship primaries.
The group expressed confidence that Gbadegesin would emerge as the party’s flagbearer and lead the APC to victory in the State.
