Police Confirm Rescue of Abducted Nasarawa State University Students |LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the safe return of all students abducted from the Nasarawa State University.

In a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, the police attributed the breakthrough to what it described as the professionalism, resilience, and unwavering commitment of its operatives.

According to the statement, the rescued victims have been reunited with their families and are currently receiving medical attention and other necessary support.

The Command further disclosed that, following sustained intelligence-led operations and coordinated tactical efforts involving police operatives and sister security agencies, two suspected kidnappers linked to the incident have been arrested. It added that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the kidnapping syndicate who are currently at large.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro Mohammed, commended members of the public for their cooperation, noting that timely information and community collaboration significantly contributed to the success of the operation.
