American gospel music singer and songwriter Don Moen has marked a significant family milestone, celebrating his father’s 100th birthday.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page, the veteran worship leader said he began the day with a birthday breakfast in honour of his father, who turned a century old. According to Moen, fellow diners at the restaurant joined in singing “Happy Birthday” during the celebration.
“This morning I had a birthday breakfast with Dad to celebrate 100 years! The restaurant all sang Happy Birthday to him!” he wrote.
Moen, known internationally for popular worship songs such as “God Will Make a Way” and “Give Thanks,” has long spoken about the importance of family and faith in his life and ministry.
The celebration highlights a rare milestone, as reaching 100 years of age remains statistically uncommon globally, according to demographic data from the United Nations on longevity trends.
Born in Minneapolis, Moen rose to prominence in the 1980s and 1990s through his work with Integrity Music and later as a solo artist.
Over the decades, he has become one of the most recognised figures in contemporary Christian worship music, with a global audience spanning North America, Africa, and Asia.
