Ogun State Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, on Monday took part in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) Ogun East Senatorial Primary at his polling unit in Ward 3, Ita Osanyin, Iperu-Remo, located in Ikenne Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking with journalists after casting his vote, Governor Abiodun described the exercise as peaceful, orderly and a reflection of the unity, maturity and democratic culture within the APC in Ogun State.
The governor commended party leaders, stakeholders, delegates, electoral officials, security agencies and party loyalists for their commitment and cooperation throughout the primary process.
According to him, the collective efforts of party members and stakeholders have continued to strengthen the APC and reinforce public confidence in the party’s progressive ideals.
Governor Abiodun also stressed the importance of internal democracy, unity and discipline in sustaining the growth and stability of the party ahead of future political activities in the state.
He expressed optimism that the peaceful conduct of the exercise would further consolidate the APC’s position in Ogun State politics.
