ADC Expels Leke Abejide, Nafiu Bala Gombe, Kingsley Temitope Ogga, Others|LAGOS EYE NEWS

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expelled eleven members of the party, including former lawmaker Hon. Leke Abejide, following resolutions passed at its National Convention held on Tuesday, in Abuja.

The decision was announced in a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, who said the affected individuals were found to have acted in a manner inconsistent with the party’s constitution, values, and disciplinary framework.

The convention, held at the Rainbow Event Centre, Garki, Abuja, and presided over by National Chairman, His Excellency Senator David Mark, GCON, adopted a motion on the discipline of erring members, which was duly presented and ratified by delegates in attendance.

Those affected by the expulsion are Hon. Leke Abejide, Nafiu Bala Gombe, Mr. Kingsley Temitope Ogga, Mr. Don Norman Obinna, Mr. Kennedy Odion, Mr. Clement Ehigiator, Mrs. Stella Chukwuma, Patrick Ambut, Johny Tovie Derek, Duke Dick, and Elias Adikwu.

The party declared that the expulsion takes immediate effect, adding that the individuals are now free to seek membership of other political parties, and that any party wishing to receive them is at liberty to do so.

In the statement, the ADC reaffirmed its commitment to internal democracy, discipline, and the rule of law, describing the action as part of its broader effort to uphold accountability and consolidate its standing as a credible alternative in Nigeria’s political landscape.
