The management of Igbajo Polytechnic has dismissed reports alleging bandit attacks in Igbajo Community, describing the claims as false, misleading, and capable of causing unnecessary panic among residents and stakeholders.
In a statement issued by the institution’s Director of Media and Public Relations, Mr. Bamigbola T.A., the Polytechnic assured students, staff, parents, and the general public that the campus and surrounding community remain safe and peaceful.
According to the statement, no incident of attack, invasion, or security breach has occurred in Igbajo Community or its environs, contrary to rumours circulating in some quarters.
The management further stated that adequate security measures are in place to ensure the continued safety of members of the Polytechnic community.
It added that academic and social activities are ongoing without disruption, emphasizing that the institution remains open and fully operational.
The Polytechnic therefore urged the public to disregard the unfounded reports and avoid spreading information that could create fear and anxiety among residents.
