PGF Debunks Reports of Chairman Uzodinmma’ Removal |LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Progressive Governors’ Forum has dismissed reports alleging the removal of its chairman, Hope Uzodimma, describing the claims as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on May 7, 2026, the Forum said no meeting was held where such a decision was taken, insisting that Senator Uzodimma remains the duly recognized chairman of the body.

The statement, signed by the Director-General of the Forum, Folorunso S. Aluko, stated that the PGF Secretariat had no knowledge or record of any resolution seeking the chairman’s removal.

According to the Forum, the report being circulated on some media platforms is “entirely false, baseless, and without an iota of truth.”

The Forum further reaffirmed its unity and commitment to its responsibilities, urging party members, supporters, and the media to disregard the reports in their entirety.

The Progressive Governors’ Forum is a platform comprising governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
